Gradual change in attitude towards girl child's education forced governing agencies to develop a format of vocational Higher Secondary Education and introduced Home _ Science unit in vocational stream. Before 1988 with the efforts of Late Smt. Tarabai, Higher secondary with general Home science was introduced the special stream for girls which was later in 1988 converted into Vocational Higher Secondary Home Science Unit. The one and only Higher Secondary Vocational Home science Unit in Anand and Kheda District.

In its 28 years of journey C.V.M HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX VOCATIONAL STREAM HOME SCIENCE UNIT, has achieved many glories, and feather in the hat is the Best Vocational Home science school Award by NCERT in the year of 2002-03.
